The Elk Grove Community Garden and Learning Center is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization devoted to providing just the place where individuals and families can successfully grow fresh, healthy produce and to socialize with other gardeners.
What We Do...
PROVIDE 110 RAISED BED GARDEN PLOTS
So that individuals and families in the Elk Grove community can have the opportunity to grow and eat healthy food. 10 garden plots are ADA accessible.
OFFER GARDENING WORKSHOPS
Focused on composting, tree and vine pruning, spring and fall vegetable gardening, water drip system, low water landscaping, compost tea and much more!
DONATE TO THE ELK GROVE FOOD BANK
Year over year gardeners and volunteers grow and donate over 5,000 pounds of fresh fruits and veggies to the Elk Grove Food Bank.
PROVIDE DEMONSTRATION GARDENS
Which include a Rose Garden, Perennial Garden, Herb Garden, Native Plant Garden, Butterfly Garden and more!
OFFER EDUCATIONAL GARDEN TOURS
We offer year around educational garden tours to the community that are children friendly and ADA accessible.
HOST ANNUAL GARDEN PLANT SALE
During this annual event we sell vegetables, herbs and flowers grown from seeds and sometimes have local vendors.
